Mer-Krete™ 750 QuickFlex
LATEX FORTIFIED RAPID SET MORTAR

DESCRIPTION:
750 QuickFlex is a polymer modifid, fast setting mortar. When mixed with water, the resultant adhesive is then notched troweled to form a thin-set mortar meeting the strict standard of ANSI A- 118.4 requirements. When cured, this adhesive will display excellent physical properties in adhesion, flexibility, and reduced water absorption.

USE:
750 QuickFlex is used for installations of ceramic tile, quarry tile and pavers. Mer-Krete Thin-Set 750 allows grouting in 2-4 hours and light traffic within 6 hours.

ADVANTAGES:
• Fast setting – allows same day grouting.
• Adheres to all common sound substrates.
• Non-shrinking.
• Non-toxic and non-flammable.
• Non-staining.
• Water resistant – will not bleed.
• CTIOA tested.

LIMITATIONS:
• Cannot be applied or stored in freezing weather. After installation, however, this mastic has excellent resistance to frost damage (freeze-thaw cycling).
• Not recommended on wood unless certain conditions are met.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
No sealers, curing compounds or coatings shall be used on the substrate. Surfaces shall be left clean. Any contaminants shall be removed prior to application.
The use of back-mounted ceramic or mosaic sheets shall not be permitted for exterior installation, wet areas or swimming pools
Spread only as much mortar as can be covered while the surface is still tacky. Dusty or dry concrete surfaces should be washed with clean water just prior to commencing work and left uniformly damp (no standing water).
Patching, leveling or areas requiring a mortar bed should be prepared using Underlayment.

INSTALLATION:
Work should be performed only by a trained applicator familiar with these products and in strict accordance with manufacturer applications specifications, abbreviated below:
The amount of water used will depend on the temperature and humidity. Higher temperatures and
drier humidities will require slightly more water to reach optimum spreading consistency.
Approximately 13/4 gallons of water will wet out one 50 lb. sack of Thin-Set 750.
• Expansion joints shall be spaced per current TCA manual and shall be installed against all restraining surfaces. Consult current TCA manual for expansion joint recommendations.
• Grout or point all joints using prepared grout with enough 150 Acrylic Latex to bring the mix to a workable consistency.
