DESCRIPTION:
Hydro-Guard BG is a non-fibrated, asphalt modified neoprene mastic
that exhibits excellent adhesion to damp surfaces. The cured film
permits moisture vapor to escape while remaining resistant to
water penetration, thus preventing blistering of the applied film.
Exterior below grade surfaces can be waterproofed by the application
of two coats of Hydro-Guard BG at a total coverage rate of 21/2
gallons per 100 square feet. It may be applied over almost all
sound, clean construction surfaces by airless spray, brush, trowel
or roller.
USE:
A waterproof elastomeric membrane designed for waterproofing below
grade, non-traffic bearing areas. It prevents infiltration of
moisture through foundation walls and footings, retaining walls
and planter boxes

LIMITATIONS:
• Should not be applied over insulating concrete. Consult
manufacturer.
• Wood subsurfaces must be adequately blocked at all joints.
CONSIDERATIONS
FOR INSTALLATION:
• No sealers, curing compounds or coatings should be used
on the substrate. Surfaces to be coated with Hydro-Guard BG must
be left clean, with all contaminants removed prior to application.
• Any sharp edges or protrusions should be removed from
the surface prior to the application of
HYDRO-GUARD
BG.
• Expansion and isolation joints and large cracks should
be treated with a resilient mastic or caulk prior to application.
