CONSIDERATIONS FOR
INSTALLATION:
• Subsurface must be smooth. If not corrected, irregularities will
reflect on the Auto Deck surface.
• In freezing climates, sufficient pitch is required to insure run-off.
• Drains must be of a design suitable to receive Auto Deck flashing
(i.e. J.R. Smith DX 1250 series).
• Concrete subsurfaces must have a minimum compressive strength
of 3000 psi tested by “point loading” technique.
INSTALLATION:
Work should be performed only by an applicator trained and approved by
Mer-Ko Products, Inc. and must be installed in strict accordance with
the Application Specifications, abbreviated below:
1. Waterproof rubber membrane reinforced with a spunbond resilient fabric
2. A trowel applied coat of a rubber mastic bodycoat
3. Two coats of high solids urethane sealer in standard Mer-Ko color
AVAILABILITY:
Mer-Ko Systems are installed by trained contractors located in several
population centers in the U.S.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:
Specification assistance is highly recommended prior to a proposed installation.
Contact any Mer- Ko technical representative for recommendations.
